Monique and The Danish Cancer Foundation

We have to support everywhere we can and there are many ways to make a difference. Monique is one of the singers performing on the new song “One moment” which is dedicated to the Danish Cancer Foundation and the “Support the Breasts" - campaign.

The lyrics are written by danish actor Søs Egelind and the music is composed by musician Anders Blichfeldt. His band Big Fat Snake always sounds great ! Listen to the track here (if you are on Facebook) or maybe you´ve already heard the transmission on Danish TV3 this Saturday? It’s time to take a break and relax  ;-)

Monique and (Bir)Gitte Nielsen

Gitte Nielsen is just amazing ! Monique use to party with her back in the days when Gitte was married to husband Raoul. She´s no longer married to Raoul, and a lot has happened in her life since.

Several husbands, including a well-known Hollywood star, Mr. Rocky Balboa, alias Sylvester Stallone, lots of kids, ups and downs, alcohol, plastic surgery and much more, and despite all that, Gitte Nielsen is still on her feet, standing stronger than ever.

In addition to being an actor and singer, yes, her first marriage was with Kasper Winding,a danish singer and composer, she has just had her debut as an author with the release of her new book “You only have one life”. Monique was there at Gitte’s book release and was completely mesmerised by her beauty and grace and had the most amazing pictures taken with her. And of course Monique got a signed copy of Gitte’s book. You got to have it ;-) !

Read more about Gitte here. Enjoy !!!

Monique and King Christian the 9th

They never met the two of them, HRH King Christian the 9th and Miss Spartalis, but on November 13th, Monique and her band are performing in Esbjerg in Jutland at a cafe named after him, Christian the 9th.

Monique and her band are really looking forward to put on a fantastic show and to play lots of Monique songs, some of them all the way back from the beginning of her career, do you remember "Tell me why" ?

We are certain King Christian would have enjoyed it, so come and check it out yourself.

Monique and Charlie

Monique has been a TV-host more than once in her life. At first she had her own talk show "Kidnapped", where a number of celebrities were "kidnapped" and brought into a studio for an interview and a meeting with people from their life.

Afterwards she was a co-host on a music program with the famous Jørgen de Mylius as the host.

There are not enough music programmes on danish television, there isn't really anywhere for musicians and singers to promote themselves and their music.

TV2 Charlie is trying to make a platform for this by putting on live music programmes with a dancing audience.

Monique and her band is going to be a part of a shoot on November 17th for TV2 Charlie's new live programmes. The programmes with Monique are being broadcasted in the Spring of 2010, and of course we´ll make sure to let you know when that is. ;-)

Monique and Youtube

One of the songs Monique is going to play on Friday in Esbjerg in Jutland is "Aquarius", which she sang in the musical "Hair" at the Betty Nansen Theatre in Copenhagen.

Here is a live recording of Aquarius from TV Charlie ;-)

It's getting colder and Christmas is just around the corner.

Returning from our trip to Egypt, we felt the difference in temperature, it was freezing and we instantly missed the 34-36 degrees celsius and the southern sun.

But the winter and the cold also has its charm and I wouldn't be without the four seasons. I love snow and I love the rain. My grandmother always said, that it is not about the weather, but about the clothes your wearing :-) and did I mention that I love wellington boots?? ;-)

So girls, this time it is about the ultimate scarf treat. The gorgeous abafazi shawls are so beautiful and you can use them as a shawl and scarf, they are made for clinging around your neck.

Brit is the owner of Living Luxury, and the shawls come in so many different colours, so maybe you need more than one ?;-). I'm ready, I would like one.... or two or three??? ;0) Shop until you drop right here ;-) Enjoy !
