Monique as Danish charity representative at the House of Lords

- Thank you for coming from Denmark, the US, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and many other parts of the world to recognise the efforts from these charity organisations helping people in need.

With these words the hostess Baroness Verma welcomed Monique and the 120 other distinguished guests to the charity lunch at the House of Lords, London on 28th January 2009.

Monique listened to the moving stories told by representatives from St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital, The Gandhi Foundation og WaterAid about the people they provide aid for in Asia, Africa, Gaza and the West Bank.

Amongst the guests were His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester (who is the cousin of Queen Elisabeth II) and the Nobel Peace Prize winner Lord Trimble.

Monique's birthday

Monday 16th February 2009 is Monique's birthday.

But a real lady never talks about her age, so we won´t reveal anything here :-) except that her grandmother Sonja Viola Gertrude always said: "You are as old as you feel" and Monique really loves that sentence ;-)

She is an Aquarius and as such, very interested in astrology. So for all of you like her, here is a little "weather forecast" on her year to come : "In 2009 Jupiter's position is furthering personal, philosophical and spiritual development together with growth and success ! " We like that !!!

Enjoy her performance of "Aquarius" on YouTube.

Monique dedicates song to the Danish Red Cross

One of Monique´s good friend has written the beautiful song "Song for the forgotten" for Monique.

This charity-song is about remembering all those people who are forgotten. In collaboration with Fields Copenhagen the song has been donated to the Danish Red Cross.

Hopefully the song will make a huge difference. It will be uploaded on the Danish Red Cross website on 23rd February 2009 as their signature song.

Here on the Danish Red Cross website you can also purchase a copy of the CD and download the song.

If you are in Copenhagen, drop by Fields on Friday 27th February at 8PM and 10PM and see Monique perform this beautiful song LIVE!
